Further discount on rooms at The Bull!

Posted on

Just a quick update, following the news that some of our guests were able to find their rooms at The Bull Hotel cheaper elsewhere online…

As a result of this, The Bull have kindly reduced their rates even further when quoting the Glover-Sumpter wedding at time of booking.

All double rooms are now just £70 for the Saturday night and singles are £60.
This discounted rate applies to all future bookings as well as existing bookings already made.

There are still some rooms available, so be sure to get in quick to get your discount and make the most of the night!

Our wedding invites

Sade and I are big fans of the fashion, style and romance of classic 1950s Hollywood Glamour. It’s provided much of the inspiration and undertone behind our wedding (without it becoming a themed-wedding). We wanted our invites to therefore give our guests an immediate feel for the Golden Age, following in the footsteps of the likes of Hepburn, Monroe, Sinatra and Gable!

Being a Design & Art Director, it made sense to save ourselves a packet on wedding stationery costs and design/print the whole suite myself! It also allowed us to have a completely unique design, using fonts and a classic black and white theme to reflect the era. It can then be used throughout every element of the wedding stationery, from invites to place names and right through to thank-you cards after the big day.

So here’s the end results! And whilst they may have taken longer (ahem…a lot longer – I’m a compulsory faffer!) than expected, we’re really pleased with how they look and we hope you like them too.

Yep, after almost 8 years together, one house, two beautiful daughters and a cat later…On August 6th 2011, we’ll finally complete the set by tying the knot!

Our blog will follow all the build-up to the big day, giving you a chance to keep up to date with the plans, arrangements, tears and tantrums. We’d love to hear from you as well, so feel free to leave a comment or two, or post an embarrassing pic of the groom and bride to be!

Invites officially sent!

Ok, ok, so it has been a long time coming, but here is the proof that the invites are at long last in the post! Thanks to Sadie for having a hell of a lot of patience with me whilst they were designed!
Hope you like ’em!!

Poll – ‘Air Guitar’ or ‘Going Too Far’?

Mike has no shame in admitting he’s partial to a good power ballad after a few drinks. But whilst Sadie may have to share her hubby’s love for her with the likes of Phil Collins, he knows that air guitars and imaginary drumsticks aren’t everyone’s cup of tea (certainly not Sade’s!).

So just for fun, we’re putting it to the vote…

Our photographer

We’re delighted to have Julian Tse as our wedding photographer. His style of reportagé photography is amazing, capturing wonderful moments shared between people that will give us a very unique memory of our day alongside the more traditional ‘posed’ pics.

We love his work and, as you’ll see below, his eye for detail, compositional and lighting skills create the most beautiful images. What’s more, he’s flying in from Brazil especially for us, so a big thank you to Julian for doing this.
